Einstein Science Club, Jamalpur, organized a discussion on the book ‘Science in Ancient India – Reality vs Myth’ (published by Breakthrough Science Society) at Jamalpur on 14th February, 2016. Members of the club discussed the various topics in the book: Abhishek Anand - The Indus valley Civilization; Rahul - The Vedic Age; Ankan and Roushan - Science in the Post- Vedic Period ; Aakash -The Decline of Science in India and Debunking the false claims. Workshop on Astronomy and Anti-superstition at Bhagalpur, Feb 21-22, 2015


Breakthrough Science Society, Bihar Chapter organized a Workshop on Astronomy and Anti-superstition on 21-22 February, 2015 at SMS Mission Sciences +2 School, Bhagalpur. In this program, students of SMS Mission Sciences +2 School, students and delegates from various districts, teachers and science loving people participated.
Mr. Dinesh Mohanti (Member, All India Executive Committee, Breakthrough Science Society) was the chief guest. He demonstrated various anti-superstitious activities. After that telescope handling and sky viewing were discussed. The students viewed through the telescope and observed the planets. Next day, Mr.Dinesh Mohanti discussed on the topic “Social Development and Scientific Outlook”. The Principal of SMS Mission School in his talk expressed the view that superstition has greatly hampered the development of our society.
The program ended with a fire walking show. Mr. Mohanti demonstrated the trick of walking on burning charcoal. The students, teachers and even children tried it by themselves and were excited about their fire walking experience.
